I was introduced to Reconnective Healing when I was referred to Laura Quirke after badly breaking my leg. Laura worked on me before my very involved surgery and after. The surgery went quite well considering all the rods, pins and screws that were needed to repair the leg. I was supposed to be unable to walk for at least six months and unable to work for an entire year. Laura worked on me two more times with astounding results. I was literally walking in 2 months with tremendous bone growth. The doctors were scratching their heads. I started back to work in 3 months (however still casted and on crutches). At that time Connie Carrillo began to work with me doing Reconnective Healing. After one session of Reconnective Healing I decided that I wanted The Reconnection done. That experience was amazing. I literally felt like a different person. It was almost as if “things” became clearer and my life began to fall into place. I wanted more out of life and found myself reaching for more. I first met Laura in 2004 when a friend recommended that I see her for some healing. I had been going through a couple of years of really difficult stuff and need some clarity on it all. Little did I know what I was going to experience! From the moment we met, I knew Laura was a natural healer. We spoke a bit about my issues and I lay down for the Reconnection part of the healing and immediately my body started to respond to what she was doing. It was a very powerful sensation at first and later on, when we finished, I really could not recollect a lot of it and Laura told me that I had been ‘very active’ on the massage table. I felt as though I had been whisked away by a horde of angels and taken care of. Later we worked on Theta healing which helps break blockages in the way we think and act. One of my big fears was that I was going to go through menopause soon and was worried that I would have a similar experience to my mother who had had a nervous breakdown. It was a deep source of fear for me. We did some work on it with Theta healing and, almost immediately, all my fear went away and to this day I feel no anxiety whatsoever about it. I am a 41 year old woman and I have been running for exercise for the past twenty five years. About three years ago, Laura approached me after I ran the Chicago marathon, and asked if I would like to be coached. From that point on, Laura has helped me both physically and spiritually.
Being an avid runner and having run competitively herself, Laura set up a running program that would work for me based on my level of fitness at the time. My running and my approach to life began to change.

I can't explain it, but when I'm in a Reconnective Healing session with Laura, I go into a deep state of relaxation unlike any I have experienced. It actually feels as though my mind has disconnected from my body. It is a wonderful experience.
One of the outcomes of my sessions with Laura was the immediate healing of a long-time hamstring injury. In fact, other issues of pain to which I had become acustomed to were, to my surprise, also healed.

Healing Results: Description of Reconnective session and physical healing.
In a conversation talking about running, I had shared with Laura that I had been having an ongoing problem with my right periformis/gluteal muscle. At times when I ran it was ok at best. My worst discomfort was sitting for any length of time. Laura offered to work on me. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It was a very new experience for me. As our session began, Laura instructed me to relax and focus on my source of discomfort - I did in fact relax. I realized my right foot and leg would slightly twitch, however Laura was not physically touching me at all. I also experienced an aura of bright colors consisting of yellow, pink, magenta and orange. The colors swirled and blended together creating a very warm effect. I have noticed that the discomfort I was feeling prior to our session has minimized. It doesn't consume me as I felt it was before. I have also found that when I focus on the "colors" that I saw and felt during our session, I am able to channel warmth and positive energy to my point of discomfort. I highly recommend Laura!
